As a Bank Care Assistant in our specialist dementia care home, you’ll play a vital role in supporting residents to live with dignity, comfort, and joy. This flexible position allows you to pick up shifts as they become available, providing crucial cover and continuity of care in a warm, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and manual handling using appropriate techniques
- Promote independence and positive engagement through meaningful activities
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care delivered
- Ensure safeguarding standards and health and safety procedures are always upheld
- Communicate compassionately with residents, families, and team members
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in care, ideally with individuals living with dementia
- Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient approach
- Flexibility to cover various shifts, including weekends and holidays
