We’re Hiring: Handyperson at Marsh Farm Manor

Do you have a knack for fixing things, solving problems, and keeping everything running smoothly? Marsh Farm Manor is looking for a skilled Handyperson to join our friendly team.

We’re offering flexible opportunities:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Or two part-time roles, 20 hours each

Pay: £12.60 per hour, Monday to Friday

As our Handyperson, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our home, ensuring it’s always safe, welcoming, and in great condition for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, maintenance, and odd jobs across the home.
  • Ensure all work areas are left clean, tidy, and safe after tasks.
  • Perform gardening duties where required, keeping the grounds well presented.
  • Conduct health and safety checks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor use of materials and equipment, ensuring safe and cost-effective practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed.
  • Support the team by preparing vacant rooms or areas to a high standard for new residents.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has practical skills across maintenance and gardening.
  • Understands health and safety procedures and safeguarding.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Is organised, reliable, and able to prioritise tasks.
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills and empathy when working around residents.
  • Has previous experience in maintenance, gardening, or a care/housing setting.
  • Holds (or is willing to work towards) Customer Service Level 2 training.
