Care Assistant

40 hours per week.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Care Assistant to join our team in a specialist dementia care home. You will play a vital role in supporting residents with dementia to live with dignity, comfort, and joy. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a meaningful difference every single day

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents with varying stages of dementia.
• Assist with daily living activities including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and reminiscence therapy to promote wellbeing.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional health.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow individual care plans.
• Promote independence and respect residents’ choices and preferences.
• Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety standards at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in care (especially dementia care)
• Genuine compassion and patience for working with individuals living with dementia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to residents’ changing needs.
