Deputy Manager – Hazel End Care Home, Bishop’s Stortford
Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | Up to £40,000 per annum
Do you want to lead by example in a care home where quality, dignity, and comfort are more than just words? Hazel End, a modern and purpose-built care home in Bishop’s Stortford, is seeking a motivated and caring Deputy Manager to join our leadership team.
About Hazel End
Hazel End is a modern, purpose-built care home in Bishop’s Stortford, offering residential, dementia, convalescence, and respite care. With 66 en-suite bedrooms, bright communal areas, a hair and beauty salon, and landscaped gardens, the home is designed to be welcoming, comfortable, and safe. Residents enjoy a supportive, person-centred environment, while staff benefit from a friendly, professional team and a great central location with easy access to local amenities.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Lead, support, and inspire a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
- Ensure residents receive the highest standards of safety, dignity, and comfort.
- Oversee compliance, audits, and safeguarding to maintain excellence throughout the home.
- Work closely with the Home Manager to drive quality improvements and create a positive, supportive working culture.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a care setting, ideally within residential or dementia care.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills with a hands-on approach.
- Is detail-focused, professional, and committed to maintaining high standards of care.
- Brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older people.
