Old School Close has 31 two bed retirement apartments, set within shared gardens. This estate benefits from a lounge and conservatory, plus regular social events take place. A local manager ensures the buildings and grounds maintenance and repairs are taken care of, while assisting with access to further help and support if required. Nearby is a selection of shops, including hair salons, a supermarket and takeaway
We are looking to appoint an Estate Manager to provide 20 hours per week support to the residents

Ideally you will have previous estate or housing experience, but that’s not as important as having the right attitude, being clear on professional boundaries and a willingness to learn.

Working with different individuals every day, an estate manager job is incredibly varied, and no two days are the same. We connect with our communities in different ways and when you join the home ownership team, you’ll need a good balance of heart and head to manage lease queries, property matters and relationships with your residents. You’ll be responsible for:
- Connecting with residents and encouraging inclusion in the local and the wider community
- Managing properties and supporting residents to be able to live independent lives
- Managing the location’s budget and service charge accounts ensuring communal areas are well maintained and repairs are completed to a high standard
- Ensuring that the estate is a safe and secure place for all residents and visitors
- Working in partnership with other organisations to provide support to residents with complex needs to ensure they can live independently
- Ensuring that our communities are a thriving place where everyone feels welcome and included
