At Senses Wellness Centre, we offer a comprehensive range of facilities designed to cater to our clients every need. They can indulge in a fully equipped gymnasium, dive into our refreshing 13-meter indoor swimming pool, unwind in the spa bath, rejuvenate their senses in the steam room and sauna, and embark on an extensive program of invigorating exercise classes. Senses truly provides a five-star experience, whether they're striving towards their fitness goals or simply revelling in a pampering retreat.
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Fitness Instructor/Coach to join our exceptional team at Senses. This is a full-time and part-time positions are available for individuals who are dedicated to promoting wellness and delivering an outstanding experience to our valued clients.
As a Fitness Instructor/Coach at Senses, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of care and support. Reporting directly to the Wellness Suite Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the implementation of the group exercise instructor training program.
- Active involvement in Wellness Centre events, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
- Collaborating with colleagues to create a diverse and engaging program of events tailored to customer preferences across the village.
- Planning and facilitating stimulating activities that promote independence and choice, catering to individual customer needs.
- Managing and maintaining the stock of activities equipment, materials, and resources within budgetary constraints.
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
- Reporting incidents of non-compliance with financial policy and escalating concerns when necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- REPS Level 3 recognized Personal Trainer Qualification or Advanced Fitness Instructor certification.
- Group exercise qualification (e.g., Exercise to Music, Pilates, Yoga, Dance, Aqua Aerobics, etc.).
- Nutrition and client appraisal/health screening knowledge.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working in a health & wellbeing environment, including facilitating activities and workshops.
- Experience working with older people, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- First Aid certification.
- Qualifications in teaching exercise and fitness to older adults, GP exercise referral, or rehabilitation programs.
- Pool Plant qualification.
- Pool responder qualification.
