Opening in July of 2023, The Mill House in Skipton, is our brand new state of the art luxury purpose- built facility, which will be the home of 94 residents. Even though we are opening in July, there is lots to prepare for, so we will be interviewing immediately and looking at an expected start date in Mid/Late June. 

During the induction period, travel between The Mill House and Thornton Hill, Thornton in Craven may occur for the first month for shadow shifts/ training.

We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our brand new home – The Mill House Skipton. This role will be 40 hours per week and the salary of £37,500 per annum.

Your Role as a Deputy Home Manager will to be support our Home Manager by delivering a high quality service to our residents which helps improve their lives and supports happy living within our home and exceeds customer expectations, in the role you will:

  • Be accountable for activities within the location, making decisions in the best interests of the customers.
  • Deliver a quality of service which meets Care Quality Commission (CQC) fundamental standards, improving the quality of customer’s lives and supporting happy living for the years ahead.
  • Understanding of CQC essential standards and their impact in care management and practice.
  • Promote individualised person-centred care, addressing all areas of risk management.

What You Need:

  • Previous people management experience in a care home setting
  • A strong understanding of the needs of older people
  • CQC fundamental standards and their impact in care management
  • Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults to ensure a safe, effective, caring and responsive service is provided
  • Current NMC Registration is preferable but not essential
