Receptionist

35 hours per week for 2 years , the reduced to 25 hours per week

The Signals, Hook

£10.90 per hour

Join our team as a Receptionist and contribute to creating a happy living environment by providing a professional reception service to our location. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in welcoming visitors, ensuring their security, and offering assistance and support when needed. This position requires a friendly and approachable personality, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and secure front-of-house service, ensuring visitors feel welcomed and safe.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of building security, location policies, health and safety practices, and confidentiality and data protection
  • Present a professional appearance and maintain a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge to handle administrative tasks, such as answering telephone queries, taking messages, and providing general information.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of handling tasks independently.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a busy reception or office environment.

Key Activities and Outcomes:

  • Greet customers and visitors in a helpful and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction and receiving positive feedback.
  • Answer telephone calls, address queries appropriately, and accurately relay messages.
  • Maintain a secure environment by monitoring visitor sign-in/out procedures and effectively managing security measures.
  • Provide administrative support, including tasks such as post handling, typing, filing, and photocopying, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Efficiently and effectively handle customer or visitor queries and complaints, following established procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction.
