Asset Compliance Contract Manager (Gas)
Location: Home based, national coverage.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Circa £50,000
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Asset Compliance Contract Manager (Gas) to join our team. Reporting to the Asset Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring Anchor's legal obligations and compliance requirements are met for our diverse portfolio of properties. This role requires expertise in managing and mitigating risks associated with asset compliance, optimising resources, and delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and operate systems and processes to manage and meet Anchor's legal obligations in asset compliance, specifically Gas systems and other heating systems while efficiently mitigating identified risks.
- Lead and manage service contract delivery and remedial works, focusing on building and engineering disciplines to ensure the safe operation of asset-related life safety systems and equipment.
- Provide strategic advice on the investment requirements for our heating equipment portfolio, ensuring 100% compliance and uninterrupted services to residents and colleagues.
- Build and maintain relationships with the Health and Safety team and operational delivery teams to promote confidence in assurance mechanisms and raise awareness of statutory compliance across Anchor.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on equipment design and selection to meet statutory compliance and value-for-money requirements.
- Stay informed of changes to standards, legislation, or best practices in the sector and plan accordingly.
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to health and safety, building regulations, landlord and tenant laws, gas safety (Installation and use), fire safety, electricity regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Experience in delivering maintenance or compliance services in a dispersed portfolio environment.
- Familiarity with term or service contract management, including NEC4 and JCT contracts.
- Strong budget management skills for multiple projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in contract and programme management.
- Exceptional planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
- Common sense approach to decision-making.
- Project management experience in complex change projects.
- Contractor management experience with standard forms of contracts and procurement methods.
- Minimum HNC in Building or Mechanical Engineering, along with relevant qualifications in heating systems. Preferable gas engineer qualification for commercial and domestic applications. Preferable gas management qualification.
- Working knowledge of other compliance disciplines to support specialist qualifications.
Please note you will be requited to work flexible hours and occasional travel to locations, including overnight stays.
