QA and Test Manager
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hybrid / Homeworking
Salary up to £65k depending on experience.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced QA and Test Manager to join our team. As a senior technology leader reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a key role in shaping and leading the test and quality assurance aspects of our agile delivery team. In addition to driving excellence in testing processes and methodologies, you will also support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing QA Team to manage live services efficiently and professionally.
- Operate as a senior leader in IT, supporting the leadership team new initiatives.
- Shaping project-level test strategies for large projects with a technology agnostic approach.
- Creating automation frameworks.
- Working with teams to improve their test approach and implement testing best practices.
- Quality of testing code and for Quality assurance processes.
- Collaborating effectively with other software development disciplines and encouraging continuous improvement on testing strategies.
- Senior IT operations escalation point with responsibility for major incident management.
About You:
- Proven experience in leading a QA team within an agile software development environment.
- Strong background in establishing test strategies and automated testing frameworks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automated and non-automated test practices and frameworks.
- Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, and quality assurance principles.
- Experience implementing testing frameworks within a DevOps environment.
- Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and career development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
