The Manor House Roundhay is our brand new 65 bed, state-of-the-art care home, set to open in October 2024.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts: 8am - 4pm (Initially Mon - Fri, however this will change to include alternate weekends once occupancy increases)
Join The Manor House Roundhay as Deputy Manager and be integral in creating a premium care experience for our residents. The successful person will be either an experienced Team Leader looking for your next career move or a Deputy Home Manager who has an understanding of a care setting and the needs of older people.
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management of our care home, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. If you have a passion for providing high-quality care, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you!
This role will give you the opportunity to use your management skills which you will use to ensure that a high level of quality care is delivered, using your knowledge in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and regular audits and inspections of the care home.
We are looking for someone who is customer focused, committed to delivering exceptional, high quality care and has a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Overall Management: Collaborate with the Home Manager to oversee daily operations, staff management, and resident care.
- Quality Care: Ensure individualized, person-centered care for residents, promoting their well-being and maintaining their dignity.
- Staff Supervision: Provide guidance and support to care staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices and policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a positive and respectful work environment.
- Risk Assessment and Compliance: Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance, including health and safety standards.
- Resident Advocacy: Advocate for residents’ needs, preferences, and rights.
- Effective Communication: Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Problem-Solving: Address challenges promptly and proactively.
- Training and Development: Support staff training and continuous improvement.
- Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle emergencies and critical situations.
