Job Title: Energy Officer
Salary: £31,000
Location: Hybrid working - Bradford Office and Home
Anchor, one of the UK's largest providers of housing and care for older people, is seeking a dynamic Energy Officer to join our Energy & Sustainability Team. This role offers a unique blend of remote and office-based work, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
· Supporting the Energy & Sustainability Team in regulating and monitoring energy usage within the organisation. Providing effective energy management services to internal customers and residents.
· Manage data and information related to energy management, carbon reduction activities, and energy metering and billing for a portfolio of over 1,700 sites.
· Support the development, coordination and implementation of strategies and policies that reduce energy consumption in Anchor’s existing homes including fabric first retrofitting strategies alongside plans for the adoption of clean heat across the portfolio.
· Take ownership of queries and ensure timely resolution.
· Support the delivery of Anchor’s Environmental Strategy and its associated energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
· Remote monitoring of locations controlled by boiler management systems to ensure optimal energy usage.
· Manage current energy efficiency funding streams. Identify and pursue available energy efficiency funding opportunities to benefit Anchor.
About You
It would be great if you had a recognised energy, sustainability, or engineering-related qualification such as a degree or Energy Institute energy management qualification or equivalent.
Essential: Previous experience in an energy management or sustainability-related role.
Knowledge:
· Proficiency in energy management software and carbon reporting.
· Familiarity with boiler management systems.
· Strong data management and analysis skills.
· Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and funding criteria.
