Regional Finance Partner - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hybrid– home working with travel to our office in Bradford

£34k - £38k, dependent on experience

We’re looking for a talented Regional Finance Partner to join our Finance team at Anchor. In this key role, you’ll be a trusted partner to our Housing Operations teams, delivering accurate financial management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to drive performance and support our mission. Leading a small team of Assistant Accountants, you’ll foster a collaborative and proactive environment, ensuring timely and insightful financial information empowers sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, providing insightful commentary to support Anchor’s Housing Operations and stakeholders.
  • Lead the monthly forecasting process for income, expenditure, and balance sheet accounts, ensuring clear communication of financial impacts.
  • Deliver management information and KPIs to empower Housing Operations Service Leads to make informed decisions and drive performance.
  • Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring balances are maintained within agreed levels and risks are proactively managed.
  • Lead finance-related projects and system developments to enhance Housing Operations reporting and efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Assistant Accountants, ensuring SLAs are met and fostering engagement and professional growth.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to ensure compliance and alignment with Anchor’s high standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, CCAB, or equivalent (or actively studying towards).
  • Experience: Proven expertise in producing period-end accounts, management information, KPI reports, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Familiarity with diverse accounting and reporting systems is essential.
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of management accounting, financial control, and sector regulations. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with accounting systems and management information tools.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, analytical, and presentation skills. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and effectively lead a small team.
  • Behaviors: A customer-focused, proactive mindset with a passion for Anchor’s mission. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to embrace change and navigate ambiguity to drive continuous improvement.
