Job Title: Deputy Company Secretary

Location: Home based

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5

About the role:

You will support the Group Company Secretary in the delivery of company secretarial and governance responsibilities across the organisation and play an active role in the Group’s restructuring and refinancing plans.

You will be expected to:

provide company law and corporate governance advice to functional and operational colleagues;

facilitate the identification and management of legal, governance and regulatory risks in business areas and/or in respect of specific projects/proposals;

identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to the working practices and processes of the company secretarial team, taking a positive and proactive approach to implementing change;

proactively monitor the impact of changing governance, statutory and regulatory requirements on AHG and support the Group Secretary in identifying and undertaking actions to ensure compliance and the maintenance of best practice governance standards.

About you:

You will have:

Company Secretarial experience in a dynamic and fast-paced business;

Familiarity with listing/prospectus requirements;

Prior experience on large and complex corporate projects;

Experience in the Housing or Care sectors may be an advantage but is not critical.
