Job Title:         Asbestos Compliance Manager

Location:         Home based with frequent travel 

Salary:             Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

About the role

You will implement and coordinate the operation of an effective Asbestos Management System (AMS) throughout Anchor Hanover; ensuring that appropriate Asbestos Management Plans (AMP) are in place and maintained for individual or grouped locations.

You will ensure that all property operations, colleagues, suppliers and contractors operate within our AMS, and that there are processes in place to ensure all colleagues are aware of and can mitigate the risk associated with asbestos.

Working effectively within Property and across Anchor Hanover Group you will lead designated service contract delivery and ensure any testing and associated remedial works, inclusive of building and engineering disciplines operate within legalistic requirements.

About you

To be successful as an Asbestos Compliance Manager you will have:

  • Substantial professional experience of property compliance, H&S and construction.
  • Significant experience of managing asbestos and construction relating to domestic and Care home situations.
  • Demonstrable evidence of having managed the implementation and/or maintenance of an AMS within a housing and Care portfolio.
  • Proven experience of working for a Housing Association, a Housing Association Contractor or other relevant organisation in compliance activities.
  • Experience of implementation and driving through continual improvement and IT system, process, and policy changes.
  • Track record of delivering improved service performance and introducing risk management controls around asbestos management
  • Proven management of project management processes
  • Contractor management experience with standard forms of contract, procurement methods and contract administration
  • Experience of managing staff
